Get new door panels or freshen up existing panels?

So, as I get ready to start collecting parts for my interior refresh I thought I'd toss around some ideas. One thing is it doesn't appear that anyone sells replace interior door panels for the rear doors on burbs/crew cabs. So the idea occurred to me to just repaint/dye my existing panels. They are in decent shape but not perfect by any stretch. What would you guys do? Buy new panels for the front and leave the back alone or just repaint/dye all four panels and don't worry about buying new door panels?

That sucks... Most any new panels that you would buy for the front would be black and have to be dyed any how. If the fronts are really rough I would buy new for the front, then dye the back to match.

I would do everything within reason to save every door panel I had. But then again, I'm a cheapskate college student.

LMC has different colors for panels. Not sure yet how closely the color matches oem. My panels are not in terrible shape honestly. Just older and obviously over time plastic hardens and gets brittle. Mine are not to that stage yet but I'm sure will at some point. Maybe just dye all four for now to freshen them up and then replace in a few years when the plastic actually starts to break down

Makes sense. OEM always fits better anyway, I guess with my 77 this wasn't even a question because my original interior was beyond saving so this is kind of a cool thing to have to ponder

I tried the aftermarket from E-Gay before and they fit half way decent, but only after about 6 hours of detailing, after that the dye job is very appealing, lol...

I pulled my door panels out of a 79 blazer. They probably weren't the best candidates for restoring, as they were chalky. I sanded the chalk off, prepped with rubbing alcohol, and painted them with SEM Landau Black. I also did the dash pad. They came out great!

I've dyed a bunch of interior pieces over the years, including entire dashboards and even seats. They have always held up great, and are very resistant to scratching.

These are the best pics I have of the interior right now.
