And they never installed my new springs sitting right there on the floor, the mech. wanted $220 more even though the old ones were off the truck and on the floor.
They have actual mechanics at Sears?

Nice that they depended on YouTube for ball joint info! Man that must have given you warm fuzzy feelings.:(

Warm fuzzy all right, but not in the right place, still waiting to get it done right, some day when things get situated, found a good shop, need to wait to find good funds in my account, all in time.

Yeah, jk, I stood there amazed a manager told me that! we had verbally agreed on using the press to do the bushings, next time it is on the receipt. I will go with all Moog rubber for the smoothness and easier on my bones. (cracked vertebra and pinched nerves etc).

They recruit from Walmart.....and you said it right mechanic there is a difference between mechanics and technicians. I would take offense to being called a mechanic at the dealership.

You ought to see the mess the college created in my engine bay, all overseen by an "expert indestrucktor" and the crap they stuck me with for $1471. "stupid me to go to a college", my g/f Dad at the time was a shop teacher there and he was going to do it himself with the kids, he passed away and the brilliance took over.
Yeah, "Wally world" wrench monkeys might have been a step in the right direction. But hey, I got 14k miles and paid over 3k in "reverse repairs" out of that, so...what, 50 cents a mile? LMAO.

So I have Dorman control arms coming in and doing full front brake overhaul this weekend.

Just for confirmation, these are toast right? The bushing is torn up.

No, looks like mounting point for an a-arm.

I'll just throw this out there, take it for what it's worth.

I've been using Detroit Axle brand front end parts on my DD's for about 5 years now with nary a issue. This includes a 5.3 Trailblazer with a 3" lift, a 98 K2500, and my current 02 2500 HD.

Yes those bushings are shot. You could order in some poly bushings in there and tight up the front end a bit.

I'm guessing this is rigged up..... there are spacers (additional nuts) in the control arm

This truck is starting to piss me off.

Can anyone confirm if the control arm only has like 1 spacer right?

I'm assuming the jerry rigged lowering triggered this camber adjustment this way.
