Here a good one.the 454that I'm about to install on my v20 had lines to the radiator in the suburban it was in .I want to plug the spots on the block where the lines came out of.anybody know the thread size????.I've tried the npt sizes not one makes me feel like it's the right one.i be all ready put the adapter to make it a vertical mount filter just got to figure this out. Thanks guys

If it is not a four wheel drive truck, why not just remove the oil cooler adapter.
A lot less chance of having oil leakage that way.

IIRC, they are O-ring fitting, not tapered thread. There are actually a plug/valve or two inside the ports in the block, you are supposed to change one or both of them when plugging the oil cooler ports. Otherwise, you may end up with a lack of oil pressure. I've only ever found conflicting info on the subject, so I'm just going to plumb in cooler lines and play it safe.
