Hello. My 1980 k10 fuel gauge and dash lights don’t work when I turn on my parking and head lights. I’ve replaced the headlight switch and the dimmer switch, the only difference is now the high beam indicator is backwards.

Sounds like a bad ground under the dash near the Parking Brake pedal.

Hmmm. Good question. They didn't really change much until '92.

It may be higher on the kick panel. Mine was kinda hidden behind the side of the Parking Brake.

Check higher up toward the windshield. Mine was easily accessible when I removed the gauge panel for other maintenance.
