Any body care to share what the idle solinoid is associated with the above mentioned fuse? Only fuse I've ever replaced in this old truck was blown when I bought it, 5 years ago, blew again when I was cutting dognuts in a wheat field prob 4 years ago and twice today. Be nice to know what the idle part is before I start chasing electric weasels!!

Thanks

Shakey

I'm not sure what you are asking, but the idle solenoid kicks the idle up when you turn your air conditioner on. It is mounted on the driver side where the linkage is on the carb. If you don't have factory air, you may not even have one.

Well, does have factory air....just not any longer. Bryan, that is not in any schematic I could find!! Any chance it is related to the little silver "box" that runs the blower motor, over on the heater core / air conditioning thingy on the passenger side? Have had to fiddle with that some in the past. Thanks Bryan. Bet you just saved me a bunch of gremlin chasing! Never thought of anything a/c related...

Edited to say, was asking what the idle part of the gauge/idle fuse runs. Figured out it runs your dash gauges, cause they ain't working. No idea the idle part!

Thanks!!

If the compressor is turned on the idle solenoid should kick in. When on vent or heat it doesn't.
