Anyone in readerland with a seriously hacked up wiring harness?
I’m looking to install a ATO style fuse box in my sons 71 El Camino. This will be a Frankenstein project, but nothing we didn’t anticipate.
I built my own dash harness years ago for my 69 Olds. I used a fuse box and bulkhead connector from a 80 GMC truck, it fit the dash opening perfectly, as will the El Camino. I don’t need a dash harness, as long as I have the fuse box, the 3 matching plugs and as much of the wire coming out the top of the fuse box I’ll be good.
A added bonus would be the chime module and matching plug. While the key in the ignition buzzer is annoying, the headlight on warning is a plus.
Thanks!!!
This is the style fuse box I used.
