First of all I should introduce myself. My name is Jason. I live in KS. I have a major project on my hands. I installed a 3.9 Cummins 4bt after about 4000 miles it threw the kdp and busted my timing case. The engine had to come out to replace the timing case. I am also going to reseal the turbo and put a small turbine housing on it. Anyway I thought you guys might be interested in the full tilt front end I'm currently working on. I've purchase some fiberglass parts from www.up22.com. I know there is a full kit from www.usbody.com, but this way I know everything is lined up and it cost me 1600 dollars less to do it this way. Here is the fiberglass.

The quality of the hood was much better then the fenders. I would have been pissed if I would have bought these to to bolt on because there is no way!

I started this project by placing my radiator support and hood in place to line with each other and to figure out the gap.

The back of hood was a atrocious as far as the gap of between the hood and the cowl. I put a cut off wheel on it's side to fix that.

After some work and massaging I have a gap I can live with.

I have the hood bolt to the back hinge to keep it in place. It's a two piece hinge I can prop up the hood and begin seperating the radiator core from the rest of the headlight mount.

The rest of the headlight support can sit on the bumper mounts and I used clamps to put the top in place. I have a picture facing down to show placement of where the hinge is going to go.

I am going to place the hinge right behind the bumper in between the frame rails. I'll probably cut up a c-clamp and weld it to the front. This is where I gave up for the day.

Don't hate on my tranny because it's a ford zf5-s42. It works very well with the rpm band of my engine. I have a modified flywheel and a valair ford clutch with a destroked adapter. I'll keep you updated on the front end.
