So, Im sure this has been addressed before but here we go. My fuel gauge sits at 1/4 tank all the time. Been doing my own research and may have the answer, or at least half of it. From what Ive found, there is a ceramic resistor on the back of the gauge. When it fails, the 1/4 tank reading is a common occurrence. A lot of people have said they replaced the whole gauge, which seemed to work about half the time. My question is two part; where can I get a new resistor, if its even possible? And does anyone know, do replacement gauges (LMC, for instance) come with a new resistor, or has that resistor been eliminated through advances in technology? Sorry if this is a dumb question or a duplicate post, just having trouble finding answers.
