currently my front differential is dana spicer passenger side 4x4 what would i need to make it driver side? i would like to keep it a straight axel if possible my build is a 1979 chevy k20

FORD are driver's drop in that era. You could source an axle from 94-up Ram as well. Sounds like a power train swap and some fabrication work is in your future.

You would have to cut the axle tubes and move the differential over. Or....you swap it for a Ford version.

If you can find a 78-79 Ford leaf spring axle (D44 or D60) it’s a direct bolt in, anything else will require fabrication.

Keep JK, JL, and JT all have Dana 44 DS differentials (depending upon options) and a few different widths options. Not sure if the widths would work in a square.

They are commonly swapped by the jeep guys for Dana 60’s and can be found on Craigslist nearly new for about 1000-1500 with the 4:10 gears and E-locker still in them.

Would require some custom fabrication and probably cross over steering
