what I am doing here is giving info that I know by first hand experience.

not everybody needs or wants a 4x4

I have a 91 4x4 jimmy that I will be converting to 2 wheel drive.
why because I built it from scratch started wit a bare frame. put to much money in it.
all that is left on it is a paint job.

#1 I do not want to destroy it off road its to nice
#2 I have multiple 4x4 blazers and trucks that I can use off road
#3 I will get more use out of it as a 2 wheel drive right now it sits in my back yard.
#4 I have the ability parts and time
#5 ITS MY ******* JIMMY and I can do what I want with it

if he wants to make his truck a 2 wheel drive that's his choice. it is not wrong its his truck and that's the way he will get more use from it.


Nick if you have any questions feel free to pm me and I will help you answer them. I personally own 30 or more(I don't count them) square body trucks blazers and suburbans and have owned hundreds. built just about everything that can be built from a square. know them inside out and upside down.

Just bought my wife a new 4x4 crewcab silverado so i do have it if I need it.

Got the truck home today. Exterior cleaned up nice. Can't wait to strip it down and get the frame blasted and painted
