I put one like in the pic, except I think it was brass, in a 72 big block. Ran it for 5 or 6 yrs and sold it. So I'll say they work pretty good.

My 3.4 DOHC would spit them out every couple of the months. Never could keep one of those in it.

Mine were good and reliable... just a royal pain in the ass to work on when they did need repaired.

Most people don't like them, and for good reasons. But it's hard to avoid them if they operate properly and they come in a car that you really like the bodystyle of. I still want to own one with a 5 speed behind it, I had one but it was just a totaled parts car.

It was an awesome car...But the engine was just a pain. I honestly wished it had the 3.1 that was in my '92. couldn't kill it if I tried.
