Flowmasters 40 knockoffs

Has anyone used Flowmasters 40 knockoffs, thinking of getting these off Ebay 2 Chamber Performance Street Muffler FLO-PRO Super V - 2.5" O/O - V42543

Yeah, they're not exactly what I wanted, the guy that did the work didn't do what I asked him to do, first put wrong mufflers on it then wrong pipe, gonna redo it eventually!

I bought the Thrush welded mufflers. Nice and cheap. Loved the sound when I had the 400 with a cam.
The 383 with vortec heads sounds different. Not really liking it at 2200 RPM.

What's the difference, sounds too loud or too smooth

At that RPM it makes a rapping noise even at light throttle and is very annoying. Think it might be because of the vortec heads.
