This was my $500 K1500 with a less than 10,000 mile GMPP 350 engine, the guy put a new battery in it just so I could hear it run and I drove it with no 3 or 4 th gear. The kid had just put on a new Eddy Intake, Carb and headers then didn't know to hook up the TV cable to the transmission and fried 3/4 clutch pack.

If you decide to swap to the cheaper more durable Th350, it can be done with out having to change mount locations or modify driveshafts. Using that spacer it'll bolt in just like the 700r4.
Here's the link on how to do it.

How common are cab marker lights on 3/4 tons? I thought only duallies, civi srw 1-ton or Dana 60 equipped trucks had them...
I think mine is the Dana 60...well I was told...how can I tell?

It very well could be. You can tell by the hub diameter and diff cover shape.

That’s a 14 bolt semi float, but you’d be looking at your front axle to determine if it were a Dana 60.

Nope. It's a corporate 10 bolt. Nothing wrong with that though and congrats on your score. Even if you just bought it for parts you'd have done good.

Oh, and the semi-float is an okay rear. Don't go drag racing with it.
