I have a 1985 c30 crew that had the grille swapped when i bought it. now that i have it bagged and the tires are tucked in the fender i noticed its way tighter on the pass side tire to fender. The pass side is what i believe to be the stock 85 fender. The driver side is a 89-91 and so is the grille.

the fame measures straight and the bumper to fender gap matches side to side.

Any idea if the later fenders were wider? if so i need to find another one for the pass side.

thanks

The 81-91 square body fenders were all the same, as were the inner fenders.

As far as I know, the 73-80 round eye fenders were all the same, and the 81-91 were the same.

Maybe check your upper control arms shims, maybe they have more on that side? Just a guess, but I had my upper c-arm almost fall off due to nuts backing off.

I think the one exception is the fender mounted antenna vs. windshield antenna.

I checked all the a arm stuff. The camber and everything is the same on both sides. Looks like the fender that was swapped is an aftermarket one. Maybe that's the difference. It's hard to believe it would be an inch off. Thanks for the replies

Recently mashed the front corner of my square. Bought a taiwanese bumper from Certifit over by the ship channel. Wound up taking it back to Certifit, material thickness way under spec.
Went with a 25 year old OE bumper and a OE fender from Tony's Junk Auto Parts (north houston).
