Rebuilt my throttle body a couple years ago, installing the adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Marshall fuel pressure gauge right in the fuel line connection at the TBI unit, and one of the thicker spacers to raise the injector pods.
While stuck in LA (Los Angeles) freeway traffic, I start smelling fuel. Can't move, can't get over, etc. Make it to our destination, pop the hood, and the 2yr old Marshall gauge has ruptured internally and is puking fuel all over the intake manifold, and that fuel is running down the back of the engine. Real nice.
I always carry tools, and fortunately my wife was following in a separate car, so we GPS'd the nearest hardware store, and grabbed a 50cent 1/8npt plug to go where the gauge had been mounted.
Not sure I'll be putting another gauge back in!
