Factory ac or no??

The radiator on my 89 burban started leaking,,,took it apart,,,looks like the ac coil in front of the radiator was improperly mounted,,,,was loose at the top end and it was rattlin around in there and it hit the radiator and wore a small hole in it,,,im thinkn about cuttin it up and throwin the ac core out to prevent any futher problems with the radiator,,,,the reason im questioning if its orig ac is when i replaced the heater core,,,i ordered the one for an ac equipped vehicle,,,,it didnt fit i had to get the one for non ac which fit my firewall perfect,,,,it does say ac on the heater control panel,,,also the ac dosent look like the system like in the lmc catalog diagram,,,i dont have a good manual which shows a breakdown,,,,anyway am i gonna lower value of my truck if i chuck the ac or should i try to fix it,,,it dosent work anyway,,,whn u turn on the ac at the panel it always blows a fuse so i cut the 2 wires to the ac switch at the panel,,,gonna try to attach pics,,,

I know the dash looks cut up just under where someone prob put a speaker where there is that large hole in the middle of the dash,,,,,but whats up with that cheap lookin bracket with one screw????? dosent look factory to me,,,,sorry if poor qual pics used cell phone

That dash pic isn't oem, here's what my '89 looks like.

Notice someone cut the indentation out of the dash on yours so the ducting would fit. Appears that the vent is larger and came from a different model, maybe a gmt400.

Yeah your heater/ac control panel looks different than mine too,,,,,if my truck is an orig non ac tuck I want to put it back that way,,,,heres my control panel,,,,

Alright I have no C60 on my spid label so no a/c,,,,,,does anyone have a pic of what my engine bay,,,serpentine belt layout should look like,,,,,thanks

Thanks for the pics Retro,,,,I think the ac might be dealr installed,,,think I might leave it in there for now,,,try to get it working again,,,if not I read somewhere where you can convert an ac compressor to an air compressor,,,,,,I think would be bitchen to have onboard air compressor to air up tires,,,,,,,,,,,

What does the tag say on the compressor? I've seen compressors made by Sanden, and Harrison. That looks like neither to me. At any rate, you'd be best off with a York compressor, as they are internally oiled, and won't rely on the refrigerant to carry oil for their internals. Most likely, that compressor wouldn't live a happy life as an air compressor.
