How's that doing for you?

I installed a grizzly locker in the front of my s10 sfa project, but the 14 bolt in the rear end is the gov lock (might as well be open)

Was thinking either throw in the open diff from the other 14 bolt I have and welding it, OR, replacing the rear with a lunchbox locker or posi.... Didn't really wanna go full spool unless I had to.

For those wondering and for the sake of not leaving a thread open ended, I do indeed have a shot wheel bearing. The bearing separated from the race and is LOOSE. It has also cracked.

As far as the backlash... here ya go! These spiders are not bad, I believe there was a shimming issue, but you all would be better and deciding that. No chips in the teeth.

Here are the spiders. They only have 1 thin shim each.. is that normal?

This truck does not get a lot of miles. It’s used when I need to pick up something or it is used when I want to hear the 4-barrels and the flowmasters screaming. I was going to put spiders in, but I thought I would just do a mini spool. I don’t agree with my decision, I’m not justifying it, that’s just what I chose. I know it’s not the smartest thing, but that’s what I’m going to do. Right now the diff is open and will loose traction while already moving if you get on it. It also screeches the backtire(s) when hitting second gear on acceleration. So the budget aspect of my truck steered me towards the locked unit.
