Hey I have a 1984 c4 corvette it has an L83 with a 700r4 trans I pulled the engine to put in my 1987 gmc sierra the truck has a sm465 in it and I can’t get flywheel on because the crank has a different mounting style the flywheel itself is bigger but the bolt spacing is smaller as is the main I was wondering if anybody knows if there’s some kind of special flywheel I could buy or do I have to swap out the crank

You need a 1986 and up sbc flywheel for your diameter clutch and starter ring tooth count. 153teeth or 168teeth

Im using the flywheel off the old engine out of the truck
Okay I read that wrong you need a flywheel for a pre 96 truck with the same clutch and starter ring gear count. They changed to 1 piece rear main seal in 1986, the had to change the crank to accommodate this. Using an early engine you have to use an early flywheel.
