Well I'm looking for a good diesel to put in my k20, but I want it to be something alittle rare not a cummins or a duramax, I've been floating around detroit diesels and 2 strokes are good but how many gears would I need you know what I'm saying so if you have any recommendations of unique engines please inform me lol

There are several diesel conversions around here with Detroits.
The 4-53's are the go to here.
They fit well and have more power than you can imagine.
There are other choices that would require more work.
You could even go air-cooled. A link to a 4-53 in an old Chevy.
The orange Ford has a Perkins, sorry no pic.
