Just realized today that my gauges react based on the position of my dimmer switch. When turned completely counter clockwise, the:
-oil pressure gauge drops to 0 psi
-fuel gauges drops to empty
-temp gauge spiked past 260 degrees
Also, when turned completely counter clockwise the high beam indicator is opposite. (when off, 2 blue “dots” illuminate in the cluster. when on, the dots are not visible)
Everything seems to function properly with the lights on and the dimmer turned completely clockwise.
I’m thinking the dimmer/headlight switch has a short or ground issue?
Also, still struggling to get my tailgate marker lights working...
single blue wire exiting tailgate through a small opening on the bottom (driver's side) V
2 blade connector with one brown wire and one black wire which i believe is the wiring "harness" for the tailgate marker lights V
I grounded the black wire from the "harness" to the inner fender directly above where it exits the main wiring loom for the rear lights etc. V
female portion of "harness" V
male portion of "harness" V
