Well, I got around to putting in a new detent/tv cable in today, the linkage for the detent cable doesn't line up with the linkage on the carb itself. I really want to get my cruise control working soon also, and my current bracket that holds the CC is the same bracket that the throttle/TV detent cable linkage is on. Anyone have any suggestions on how to correct this without having to lose my CC potential?

one thought, flip the ball stud to the backside.

2nd thought, geometry correction kit from summit or wherever you want.

I was under the impression that the ball stud fixed to the bracket, I went and put it on the back side, it now lines up good, was able to adjust the cable so my shift points are where they're supposed to be. Thanks Swims!

Be sure to check WOT with engine off to make sure the ball on the back wont make the throttle stick to the floor!

Just to make sure, you did adjust the cable housing all the way back then ratchet it back out by opening the carb to full throttle, right? Thats the base setting, you dont want it any slacker than that.
