Dual Tank Switch Issue

Hoping I can find some expertise. I have a 77 K10 and am installing the Sniper EFI. In my previous setup I didn't have fuel return lines which I had to add for the EFI. I had to change out the valve to the 6 port valve to support return lines to each of the tanks. The switch will change the tank once but wont change it back. I'm wondering if I need to also replace the switch to work with the new valve? Or are there any other suggestions? I have tried two brand new valves to try and eliminate a bad valve out of the box. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I should have mentioned that both tanks were working great prior to changing the selector valve to the OEM 6 port valve.

Is your new valve the solenoid type with the single wire? Or the later one with several wires?

May I ask where you bought one?

They are very simple how they operate. In stock form, they self-return to the passenger side tank. When you hit the switch to the left tank, it sends 12 volts to the valve and it switches to the left tank. When you switch back to the right tank, it just removes the power and it switches back.

The valve is self-grounding, I'd make sure the frame is good and clean where the valve mounts up.

I had a local truck mechanic shop order one for me. I'll have to ask where he got it. I pulled off the original 3 port valve, cleaned the area and lightly sanded and put the new one back in its place.

Where is your electric fuel pump mounted?

Unfortunately, it doesn't switch back. It is located close to and forward to the selector valve.

The single wire valve the mechanic got me was not new and was faulty. I created a new post since I'm unable to find a good single wire 6 port valve. Below is the link. I've searched for days trying to find one and have run out of options unless someone on this forum has one for sale? I'm probably going to try pick n pull but not sure which years/models of trucks to target for my search. Any ideas?
