If the battery shows 12 volts, and your getting 6.65 at the socket I would verify proper grounds first. Then I would check the fusible link that looks like it was burnt and taped over, between the red wire and the junction on the firewall. One more popular cause of lighting issues is trailer plugs/wiring.

Check the yellow and green wires at the turn signal switch while pushing the brake. If the voltage is normal, tge problem is after the turn signal switch.

I recently went down this rabbit hole. Besides finding a faulty flasher, the main culprit ended up being the turn signal switch. Now every circuit works. Funny thing is the front signals were iffy before I changed all the bulbs, checked/cleaned all connections. After all that, the signals worked but the driver's side brake light only worked with the headlights on. New turn signal switch cured it. May not be your problem, yet it could be.

So i went and looked at the trailer harnesses and what i found was a mess looked like two plugs used by both taillights plugs connected to the harnesses plug i took of the two plugs and connected it to the main plug going down the path of the body nothing yet skeeters ran me inside before i could take batter pics
