Door window rain guards.

Does anyone know how these rain guards mount, I assumed the just wedged into the rubber seals/trim, but the listing says mounting hardware included. I’d prefer these over the stick on black plastic ones. I think these suit the truck better

The chrome ones on the bottomof the page get screwed up in to the door from the bottom like this

It was hard to see in he picture but looks like it screw into the outer shell of the window frame? Are the screws almost vertical into the frame? Idk how I feel about screwing them into the door.

Sorry it is hard to see. Yes screws are vertical into the frame. Wouldnt be my first choice either but they were on it when I brought the truck.

Thanks for the picture. I have to do some thinking on that. I like that they don’t block the vent window like the stick on ones. Since I don’t have AC and it’s recently became my daily driver until I fix my other car, I need to do something so I can crack the windows in the rain.

I never thought about the plastic ones blocking the vent window. I like being able to use them.

You can open them but I feel like the airflow wouldn’t be as good. I have no carpet in the truck so the vent windows help with he floor heat. And since it’s an original AC truck there are no floor vents [emoji30]

My stainless ones are screwed on too. Crappy part is on the older squares when you roll the window down it rolls away from the back of the door. Not straight down, so if its rainin and you go to far down it comes in from the backside

Just drill. I wasn’t excited about the holes either, but after it’s all said and done I’m glad I did it. They look good on the truck.

Agreed. And if they get removed later, the screw holes are not very noticeable at all.

I have that set from LMC and got nervous about screwing them into the truck, so I just wedged them real good into the window.

So far, the driver's side has been rock solid and never budged, and that's with me rolling the window up and down constantly and opening/closing the door.

However the passenger's side has fallen off 3 times, so it's a moot point. Haha. You should probably just screw them in. I will eventually

You might could try some double sided tape, like the use on the plastic ones.

Let us know what you decide to do, my driver's side has fallen off since my post (why did I have to jinx it?), so I am looking for a new method to get it back on.
