I have 56's and 4inch blocks under the rear of my '88 Burb and have pulled a bit of weight, as well as flexed it out pretty good a time or two. They are holding up fine.

Plus, the newer Dodge and Ford heavy duty trucks have 4 inch blocks in the rear right from the factory. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me.

I'd have to agree bucket. Do you know what type material Ford and Dogs are using for blocks??? Aluminun, Solid cold rolled Steel, Square Steel tubing Poly, Kryptonite or whatever??? Just long as its safe is my main concern. I'd say 4in is probably max though. If I did 6in I'd for sure go full springs all the way around.

They are cast iron or steel or something. Not aluminum, that's certain:)

10-4 . I guess notched 4x4 wooden blocks won't work either.

I prefer rocks myself...

I've heard of it before. No kidding. Also heard of stacked tack welded plumbing pipe. We've seen square tubing posted on here before. Rednecks !!!
