Believe it's bop, a 455 would be an easy swap.

The trans will be the valuable part there, I think anyone working with any BOP engines would be all over it. I can't say I've heard of anyone finding something useful to do with that 350 diesel yet. lol

The main webs are an inch thick and the cylinder walls are quite heavy.
You can actually build one helluv an Olds stroker with a DX Diesel block.
Wise made a 465 stroker with them.

I actually re-built a 350DX with the 350N truck heads, injection pump, pencil injectors, and 350N intake. Power was on-par with a 305 but noticeably better fuel mileage.

I worked at a large Chev Olds Cadillac dealer in 1981, you could buy any GM car or 2wd pickup with a 5.7 Olds diesel. (S10's and Chevettes had an Isuzu diesel, I had an Acadian 5 speed diesel, it ran great on heating oil) They lasted a few months then started coming in with connecting rods poking thru the oil pan. It got that you couldn't find a gas Olds 350 to swap in place of the troublesome diesel
