Hi guys, new to Chevy trucks new to forum. Just bought an 85 Silverado with 305. Very low mileage but has been sitting for years. Owner says cranked and drove at least once a month.
Driving home seemed like it wouldn't take smooth acceleration. It either cruised ok or you had to floor it to go. Easy acceleration acted like running out of gas. NO CEL the whole time.
Put Seafoam in it to get home and ran about 3/4 tank out of it. Found cracked vacuum line on spark advance and on a sensor on the firewall. Tightened the top carb screws that have gotten loose. Put fresh gas in it and is running better.
Wanted to pull DTC codes and can't find the connector. Most pictures on the internet show it under dash drivers side. Have looked all under and behind dash and even with flashlight and mirror I can't find the connector.
Any ideas where it might be hidden or are they all supposed to be in the same place?
much thanks
