Deciding on 12 bolt limited slip

I am too in the same boat as my 12 bolt LS (3.08) is in many pieces and is essentially an open right now. But im looking to go quick and easy being mines 2wd and swap in a 10 bolt 3.73 LS whole rear end and be done. (Swapping out axles from 6 lug to 5 of course)

Are 5 lugs better than 6 lug axles?

Not really. 5 lugs are for 2wd, and 6 lugs are for 4wd in our squares. 6 would be better than 5 wouldn't it? I think I'd just go with either one so long as they match all the way around so you don't have to carry 2 spares.

Thats why id swap in my 5 lugs because my fronts are 5. Althought i have way more wheels for 6 lug
