talking about motorcycles the last half year has really gotten under my skin.
i've ridden inline four cylinder machines for 40 years.
love the sewing machine smoothness and power to weigh ratio.
those machines were all 'standards'.
meaning you rode 'straight up' more or less.
not bent over and not laid back.
my last bike was a brand new cb900f4, a '919' from honda.
loved that fuel injected naked muscle bike.
it wasn't the most powerful at the time, nor the most agile.
for me though, it kicked serious butt and i put a lot of miles on it.
many miles with my beautiful bride.
my injuries from my career in the service obviously don't 'get better with age' and i gave up the bike when i moved out to our 'rec property'.
2.5 miles of gravel road. gravel floored pole barn to park in.
just too much to push the bike around.
anyway, get to the pictures right?
i drove to a dealer and picked up a new crf300l.
150 pounds lighter and a lot less 'power' but i can push it around easy and it rides on gravel SO much better.
i breathe red once again i can scratch that itch once in awhile without wearing myself out.
