Is it a V8 or a 6 cyl? ****, stick shifter, short bed, 1/2 ton 4x4, that's a cool package, I'd rock it. Especially if it had an inline 6.

Damn right. I'd rock it. I'd keep my eyes open for a Muncie M21 or M22 4 speed though.

Nothing wrong with a three on the tree. Just takes some getting used to.

X2 I had it in the 61 Chevy truck I had and it seemed like 2nd gear you could go from 20 mph up to 70 mph, good long gear.

Personally, I would snag that truck and run it as is. The transmission is decent for what it is and as a bonus it usually keeps people from wanting to borrow your truck. However, if you really don't like you can always change the column and toss a different transmission in it. I can guarantee you that if someone posted a 4x4 short bed for $600 around here it wouldn't last an hour on craigslist.

I would snatch that thing up without looking twice even if the interior was gone. parts alone are woth more then the price, even the bed is worth more.

NOT a thing wrong with 3 on the tree, convert to floor shift for like $100 and make it awesome. We beat our 3 spd. to death with the 350 in it and it held up for a long time. Only thing took it out was a 7-8krpm's no clutch shioft to 2nd and bam.

I would bet this truck is sold by Wednesday if not earlier so you'd better jump on it if you truly want it. This thread should have actually been a thread about you BUYING a SB rather than you asking our opinion on a deal like this! :deal: I woulda bought immediately and ended up making money on the deal...

Yeah looks like a downgrade to me compared to the shortbed/4x4. But I'm partial to shortbed/4x4s lol.

CONVERT IT TO FLOOR SHIFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I done covered that it's like $100 for a hurst indy matic 3 spd. floor shift and then it's simple as any other stick shift. You could learn easy though I'm sure.

No way would I pay more for a long bed, I hat elong beds, short bed or nothing for me.

2wd compared to 4x4, that's tough. I like a 2wd for a nice street rod to lower, but I like a 4x4 to lift and put on huge tires. I would definately go for the swb truck though first plus it's cheaper.
