Hello,
does anybody know how to remove the whole dashboard frame? I removed all screws, but it seems its somehow connected to the lower frame of the windshield...any ideas?

The dashes are spot welded to and are one layer of metal at the windshield flange. To remove the dash the spot welds must be drilled/cut.

Out of curiosity, why are you removing the dash frame?

I ask because usually when someone is removing it, they already have a replacement and know that it is spot welded in. If you aren't replacing it, you are likely creating more work for yourself than you need to.

I’ve got a hacked one I plan to replace. I plan to cut from the defroster duct to speaker opening to the side and leave the forward piece in and butt weld

I hope I don't get into trouble here, but I don't like the interior anymore and I want to build a completely new custom dashboard. But I think vr1967's idea is probably the simplest.
