I am currently restoring a 1974 Chevy K10 and am putting a TBI unit from an 87 Chevy pickup. My engine is just a mild street engine with a mild street cam, headers, nothing special heads, a TBI intake manifold, and a 1227747 ECM. Can anybody help me with which prom chip to use and can anybody tell me how to make the injectors fire. I understand that you can pull the purple/white wire coming from pin B5 on the ECM to the ignition module in the distributor to ground with the key on and the injectors should fire. I've tried this, and mine aren't firing. Could the problem be in the ECM, maybe with the wrong prom chip or could me something wrong with the ECM itself. Any help would be appreciated.
Thx a lot
