A while back, my dad hauled a car home for a freind of his who had plans to build it into a dirt track car. My dad brought it to his house because the guy hadn't told his wife yet. Fast forward to last week and the guy has decided to get rid of the car so he gave it to my dad for free, along with another failed racecar project. The first car happens to be a 1980 trans am, with the 6.6 big block. Yes, the motor is still there! To be fair, the car is fairly rough. But not terrible in my opinion, plus big block? Hello! Anyway, both cars are missing titles so dad wants to sell them for parts only. But I want to fix the trans am and make it a bandit car. It is missing the transmission, and we don't know the condition of the motor yet. It is also missing the interior, and the floor pans need to be replaced. But it is otherwise solid. The second car is a 70's Camaro that I don't know any details on yet because we don't have it, but I'm thinking maybe it could donate some parts to the trans am. I don't know what major differences there are between these cars. The trans am has new tires, and also came with some aluminum wheels.

The front clip in the first picture is from the Camaro. The ta had a brand new set of seat harnesses in there too.

One more. The only thing I haven't laid eyes on is the trunk floor, someone has popped the latch out and we didn't mess with it much.

Well the guy took his car back. The motor anyway. He traded the big block for another motor. Without that I’m not interested in the rest of the car. So much for that.

You could still make a few bucks off of it though. The hood and scoop, plus the fenders should be worth a decent amount. I don't know if the prices are still up there, but for a while Pontiac was getting retarded money. I would have to believe that any genuine TA only pieces would still be worth good money to the restorer crowd.

Yea I’m not sure what his deal is. This week he wants to get out of racing altogether. Next week he’s buying another race car. Then the next week he’s selling one.

Yeah, you run into those types every now and again. Change their minds fast than the weather. My ex F.I.L. was like that. Never understood how a person could change direction so often. Used to drive me up the wall. In retrospect, it definitely explained a lot about the ex-wife. I say part it out before he changes his mind again.

Pontiac blocks are not big blocks, and not that rare either.

Right the 6.6 is the 400 SB if you had the SD-455 then it would be worth some money.

Like said before, load up the pile and drop it off.
