I've got a set of '97 L-31 Vortec heads (906 casting) that need some love from a machine shop that will be part of my SBC 350 top end upgrade. Verify no cracks, valve job, general clean up and maybe machine down the retainer guides. (port the exhaust?) Can anyone recommend someone in the San Diego or Orange County area that is reputable?
'78 C10 with a base GM crate 350 from 2016, about 20K miles on the motor. Plan is a carb intake, Holley 650, mild to maybe a little more than mild CAM. Looking for a street driver 300-350HP
I've called a couple of shops in North County but was not too impressed with the conversation.
