Recently bought this "New Blue" truck as "ol' Blue" has been beat. I am a farmer in central Wa St. and use both for farming. New Blue was bought in 1973 by a Vietnam vet with his reup bonus money, and after his service, he spent the rest of has life as a logger in the great forests of western Wa. Logging is hard on trucks, and this truck needs rockers, inner fender wells, lower fender patch panels. However, while not perfect, this truck has great bones. Excellent running tight, 350/350/205 with Dana 44 and Dana 60. Since I use the truck almost daily, (I just like driving it,) and haul hay, dogs, farm supplies gas etc with it I plan to replace all the springs as they look original, and need replacing. The interior is sweet, not cut up, good paint, and no cracks in the dash. everything works except the dual tank selector valve under the truck, which LMC carries, (universal). I will replace the original TH350 with a 700r4 that has all the good stuff in it and marry it to the 205 transfer case. That is probably all I will do this winter as I have lots of other farm equipment to service. I just bought neoprene seat covers to cover the nice upholstery as my dogs go everywhere with me, not yet installed ( maybe today). As you can see I live in a remote location (no neighbors in sight), and get plenty of snow. Ol' blue has done well for years except for the snow shooting up through the rusted out floor, runs like a top. I am just completing a 40X60 steel building that I will use as a farm shop/machine shop. Can't wait to cherry out New Blue. Thanks for the visit.
