Wow ... great info! thanks for all the replies!

I had already planned on replacing the steering box with a new 2WD version. For the steering, i will probably go with a kit from ORD or other but im staying with the 1 ton TRE, not heim joints (dont need them and cant grease them).

I am fed up with the push pull steering after only a year ... TREs on the drag link are only lasting me 6 months at most. weight or design or other worn parts is just chewing them up, likely a combination of all.

if the engine crossmember is in the way, ill trim it if possible and replace it if necessary. Thanks!

what is a good source for the 4 leaf fronts? i dont remember seeing them on LMC .... i vaguely remember having to buy direct from a manufacturer.
