I swear someone here had a thread about a seam that leaks inside the cowl....done a few word searches and cant find it.

I gutted my cab today and on the passenger side floor, the insulation under the rubber mat was soaked. No other water or dampness anywhere else. The patio where the truck is sitting, slightly slopes to that side. I see no leaks or evidence of water running down from the windshield, so the cowl thing came to mind.

Just wondering if it was here that I saw that thread, and what the deal on a seam that leaks. ?!

Thanks.

Also check the foam seal on the right kick panel (it's on the back side of the panel). Mine was dried out and flat causing water to weep in when it rained.

It's part #10. I have the #4 panels in my '85 and my '79 had #7 style. Both use part #10.

Perfect - thanks very much! I removed all the screws holding the panel in and it still wont come out - like its 3M taped all the way around. I'll use a scraper or something to pop it off. Major color change coming anyways. That #4 style looks good.
