Removed my wheel wells to tuck some 22" transport wheels. Need to relocate coolant overflow reservoir. My question is does it matter if its mounted high or low to work right?

When i removed my inner fenderwells, I opted to replace the plastic overflow tank wiith a stainless steel tank. The tank is mounted on the passenger side of the radiator about level with the top of the radiator. I wouldn't think it matters at what height since overflow pressure will fill the tank regardless. The stainless tanks are available through Jegs.

Makes sense...... made a bracket and mounted it in a nice empty spot just to the right and below the battery tray

I personally like the stainless over the plastic. My plastic tank was cracked and soiled. I got lucky and picked up the new tank off craigslist for $25 and I only had to drive 5 miles from home...that never happens when you find a good deal.

Is that a hydraulic cylinder for the hood I see in the top right corner of the 2nd pic?

Yup....with them installed, when I pull the hood release in the cab, the hood automatically lifts. I replaced the oem spring cantilever hinges...they had too much slop in them and were squeaky.

Sorry for off topic again, metal or fiberglass hood?
