I've decided to slam my C20!!!

Since the 4L80e and head work and cam and all the other crap ive done...ive been looking for the next mod. Considered paint but I can only afford the bodywork right now...and since I wanna do it all at once I figured why not drop it first!

Ill be doing a C20 drop spindle from performance online and cutting about 1 coil. In the back I have already purchased and recieved weld on perches that will go on the bottom of the axle for a flip kit effect. Also purchased and recieved a c-notch kit.

The only gray areas are shocks which ill have to measure for after the drop, tires, ill have to get shorter tires and if I need to move the carrier bearing.

Ill also eventually install over the winter an air bag setup in the rear so I can still tow.

Im excited as hell. Ive always been in a lowered truck and cant wait for this one to be sitting on the ground. It will look even better with my current white wheels and hubcaps which I plan on keeping.

Latest pics of truck. Damn shes running good with those new heads and cam. So much more compression.

Thoughts on my latest endeavour?

Your gonna hurt you mpg with a shorter tire.

IMO, i like it better now, rather then dropped.

Go for it, 3/4 ton drops seem to be all the rage lately.

What's your rpms now @ 60 mph with the 4L80e? I'm thinking smaller tire would improve towing as long as it's not too much, I'd rather see a stuffed tire/nice wheels than little wheels that just don't fit the look of the truck. Seems like a much more expensive mod than a drop reese hitch lol but go for it, never get bored with your truck!

I doubt you'll hurt your mpg with small tires. You've got OD to compensate anyway, so why do you care? You're good to go there. But still, I'd hate to see that truck lowered. It looks so good, clean, OEM, unmolested, down to the OEM wheels and hub caps. Hate to hear it really. What about ride height and towing the boat? Are you going to be draggin the hitch or the trailer jack???

Do what you gotta do since it's your truck but this is disappointing and I actually like lowered trucks :/

MPG may get better....lower to the ground, better aerodynamics. I wonder how white walls or stripers would look tucked up in tight? LOL!
Will handle better for Evasive maneuvers too...... :emotions33:

Man, I hate to jump on the bandwagon, but I like it better stock height too. Doing the spindles and cutting the coils will get you what in the front? 3" of drop? More? If it's suttle instead of a slam, but I think it'll be a good compromise of looking stock-ish, but just un-stock enough to be more interesting.

In the end it is your truck, so we will have to deal with the madness you throw our way. What happen to the blue truck you had acquired? Lower that one to satisfy your urges.

People ask me all the time.... "So, when are you going to lift your truck??"
My answer is always.... "NEVER! I am keeping it stock height."
I seem to always get applauded for that decision.

But now give me a truck that has already been messed with... where's that height management solution?!?
