Long story short, i found threads to hold steering wheel on my truck had been completely trashed over the years/owners.
Im on a tight budget lately and a buddy gave me a tilt column from a 85 blazer auto trans (mine is a 82 c10 maual trans)
blazer had cruise and different turn signal set up, so i switched turn signal switches and used my igin cylinder set up. but as im getting ready to install the rod for ignition switch seems to be to long?? has anyone run into this?
my thoughts are to make a couple slight bends in the rod to shorten distance, or make a adapter of some sort to mount (about 1/8" difference). ANY advise or knowledge about this appreciated thnx

Have considered drilling the threads and using a helicoil kit? Might save some hassle And they're not too much
