Well, There must be variations or maybe sun fade? I used the Blue ColorBond from LMC. For me it was a perfect match, but the second Pic is also an ‘84 and its interior is a lighter shade. So I guess you have to find the one that suits your purposes.

Yours looks fantastic. Mine is also the darker blue ... I appreciate the visual ..

As mentioned, I plan to try USA 1 in the 81-87 range ... I have a few pieces of plastic trim I got from the salvage yard to practice on before actually using my interior trim pieces.

If this does not work I will try the LMC ColorBond ... USA1 image below ...

Thanks !

Did you paint the vinyl then sew/assemble it? I can make a panel with pocket but my painter is worried about painting after assembly and getting the paint in the creases and folds

My 84's interior was originally the light blue in your second pic. Since my new parts are coming in the dark blue, I want to make it all dark blue. However, the blue has been on backorder for a while on LMC and they only provide their part part number. What is the actual color from colorbond?

Google SEM Blue Interior paint. Might have what you're searching for? Pacific Blue?
The SEM # 15331 Wedgewood blue looks very similar to the medium blue that LMC has for carpet for the 1975 Chevy truck

CheemsK1500,

I had an auto paint supplier mix me a color match to the back side of a trim panel that never would have been sun fade. So I can paint but I‘m worried about the flexible parts not holding up I guess. Just seams odd all the parts are showing up this shade of blue? I’m missing something was this dark blue available at some point? I can’t find it as a option for 1977.

-Jeff
I have the dark blue ones on my 86 suburban

Someone has to have ran into this issue before me? How did you handle restoring a blue interior.

question, can't you prepare the color in polyester bilayer for automobiles in a paint shop, here they prepare it for me with a sample of the same tone, then I paint and that's it

I’m looking to repaint the plastic trim on my 1977 Cheyenne with blue interior. LMC only lists Colorbond-blue 37-8382. I ordered some but it’s not even close. The attached picture shows the original color in the middle. Left side is sun faded and the right side is the LMC color. has anyone found a good match?

Thanks,
Jeff
Hi Jeff, I was wondering if you found a solution to your color matching issue. I have a 1977 c20 with the same interior color as yours and have experienced the same problem.
Thanks in advance,
Nick

I began restoring my door panels this week, I had ordered 1980 blue paint from usa1 and the color was pretty damn close. I taped up one area to compare and it isn’t an exact match but it’s close and I’m happy with the results. Before and after
