I have them on my truck but I used a kit from porterbuilt that he no longer makes.

Im doing an 82 now with a kit from CPP. If you need to you can call them an buy the cross member only. Look it up an you can find the install article hot rod did. So far I have the cross member an c-notch/spring mounts installed. You will probably have driveshaft clearance issues if you don't modify the stock 67-72 cross member.

On my truck an this 82 the trailing arm cross member is nearly up against the rear cab mount brackets.

The ride quality an handling are vastly improved over the leaf spring setup. You will be very happy with it imo. It's one of the best things I've done to my truck.

what is the diameter of that cross bar between your two spring purchases?

I need to put something between where I am going to mount my upper coilover mounts. I have some 11 gage 1 5/8 DOM or some 1/8 wall 2.5 inch square tube not really sure which would do the better job.

Here is some of my latest progress. These are not the coilovers I am going to use just an old set a friend lent me for mock up. Think I am going to use Viking double adjustable.

Finally rec my coilovers that I am going to run. Made new upper and lower mounts, and stiffened the frame a little.

This is awesome! Me and a buddy were just bench racing about doing this very thing the other night. I had a ‘70 with truck arms and it handled much better than the leaf spring setup on these squares
