How exactly do I repin the cluster connector?

I found a 1977 tach cluster and I want to put it into my 1980 truck. I have the wiring diagrams, I just don’t know how to repin the connector. Any help?

There's a tool that goes into the housing that depresses the clip that holds the connector in place. Little, thin bladed thing that slips in between. The screen shot is the type of tools I'm thinking of. IIRC, the one I have is green, so a trip to the Lisle catalog is in order.

OK, update. The one with the green center I referenced earlier isn't a Lisle, but Blue Point. Same sort of thing
