I spent a lot of time making sure I got mine right when installing a new universal wiring harness.

This might help somewhat:

Also, I found this Painless manual to be very helpful on everything electrical:

I did, but, maybe i missed it. Ill look again. I need a 'step by step' that expalains it.

Actually, I need to take a class on AUTOelectronics. I know enough to burn something up. Its crazy, I can rebuild a carburetor, an engine etc, etc...but rewire my guage cluster Im afraid.

Ive tried to take a beginners course on 'auto-electronics', at one of our local colleges. They wanted 4 years, i wanted to learn how to rewire an old Jeep. (Really, i wanted to learn what NOT to do)

Im goimg to give it one more shot this weekend. I suck at auto electronics.

I would even pay for someone to teach me how to do it properly.

Thanks again.

Don't get over worried about it...remember just one wire/circuit at a time. Print a copy that you don't mind writing on and cross each of the circuits off as you complete them. I will be passing by close enough to stop for about an hour mid day on Thursday the 28th. I can answer questions and point out some things, no money needed.

I will be sleeping in Oxford, AL and heading for Willachoochee, GA. Is there a way you can send me your contact info on this site? Here is the route that I think is passing close by you (the blue route).

When I hacked apart my cluster I sat down with the original and traced the lines on the flexible circuit board. On a piece of graph paper I drew a rectangular box representing the electrical connector and labeled each square according to where the line went (temp / oil press / L turn / R turn / Power / Ground). Then you can figure out which ones go where for your new cluster.

I was then able to cut the connector off after labeling all the wires.
