Cleaning domestic coil

Snoots, I looked at the link you sent and could only find oil coolers trans coolers electric fans.... I even tried to search “heater core” and got no results I must be missing something

so you haven't tried to clean it yet? I'm sure someone could use it, hell I'll send you a label and I'll take it if nobody else wants it.

You said you were in HVAC, use what you use at work, but shorten the time if anything. It really sounds like you want to replace it and ditch the old one.

Ok so here an update on my coil saga , I tried cleaning it with condenser coil cleaner, did some good but still smelled even after it dried off. So I ended up soaking it in apple cider vinegar...then neutralized in clean water and baking soda. that did the trick seems clean and odor free now.
I would still take a new NOS if I could get one and use this one for a spare .
