Thank you for the great reply Bruce, I found that the fuse terminal that holds the curtesy lights only works on the right side, the left side is completely dead
Are you saying you have 12v an one side of the spot where the fuse pushes into? If so that's how they work. 12v comes in and the dead side when the fuse is out goes to the accessory.pop in the fuse and the fuse becomes the bridge.

Yup. I wasn't sure what you were getting at and didn't want to come off as a dick.
Haha no worries, I'm pretty new to this, just got my chevy (first car/truck) about a week ago so I probably sound pretty clueless, I'll get a picture of the spot, one second

The striker pin wires go down just above the kick panels. A single white wire on each side. Are your strikers bent?

Yes. Pop that rubber plug out. Remove the striker it screws out and turn the wire in the same direction so you don't snap it off when removing the striker. Once out touch the terminal to ground and see if you have light. I'm guessing the wires are no longer attached to the striker. You did check the bulb right? Also you need to have a good fuse installed. And when you touch the wire to ground it WILL spark a little it's ok. There is no relay to buffer it.
