Cant get rid of paint overspray on inside windshield

Ohh, if you can feel it, then it's not a windshield ghost. I bet it's probably self etching primer. You might try some very very fine steel wool. Like 0000 fine.

Thing is, I can feel where it starts and stops. I can leave finger nail scritches in it, too. I have 10 days of vaca starting in a few hours. Ill have plenty of time to figure it out.

Scratch it off with your fingernails then. Problem solved.

Im starting to think maybe it is a ghost. Just tried using steel wool and window cleaner. Not a scratch. Although, that area does feel a lot smoother than before.

As long as it's been there and by the pic, it very could be a ghost. You could always take it by a glass shop and get an opinion. They'll have some **** to clean it for sure if it can be cleaned.

You know they can fix small cracks with a gel filler in the top layer of glass to the plastic layer, maybe there is some kind of technology where they can drill a small hole and suck that ghost out of the glass. Maybe it's just an air pocket between layers they can extract. Worth swinging in and getting an opinion from someone who might know for sure.

it may be worth it to try some of that headlight restoration stuff on it too. I've used them before on the plastic lensed cars. They work pretty well. The polishing ball and compounds the kits come with may work well on what you're doing.

True, I was going off his statement that he can feel it with a fingernail. The last time I had overspray on glass, I started with lacquer thinner to get the heaviest portion, then rubbing alcohol to clean the haze from the thinner, and finally an industrial glass cleaner to clean the haze from the alcohol. It sucked. I would have tried a polishing ball if it hadn't been the entire rear window that the ******* po hadn't taped when he painted the roof.

When I first tried with a razor blade, I was getting tiny pieces of paint to fall off from higher up the windshield. When I tried the main area, the blade wouldn't dig in at all. I could definately tell something was there, just could not get under it with the blade. Yesterday, I tried Fast Orange (mild abrasive) and window cleaner with steel wool. That area feels a lot smoother than before, but the the discoloration doesn't seem any different.

The area doesn't bother me much, it's just annoying having to look at it. And it doesn't help that my seat sags enough that it's in my line of sight. It's silly, here I am over 6 feet tall, yet I feel like a granny who's barely tall enough to see over the dash!

Yeah, well, I'm scratching my head as to how the PO of my truck got paint on the inside of the windshield when there isn't anything to paint.

I had a problem with somekind of a haze on the inside of My windshield. Brake and parts cleaner kind of smeared it.
I mixed some cider vinegar and water, that stuff removed it without a hitch.
Used about a quart of vinegar to a gallon of water.

Try a clay bar and make sure to use the solution it comes with or mix a 50/50 solution of soap and water.

Saw on one of them tv car shows,where they used peanut butter and 0000 steel wool.oil in the peanut butter polish the glass and it has enough narural abrasive to remove imperfections, it worked for them to remove paintboverspray
