Is there a dimension specified between the back of the cab and the front of the bed on a 1984 C10 short bed?

I did about 900,000 of those, over a six year period.

One per minute all day every day.

So pretty much every truck that came down that production line, has your fingerprints on it (or would have if you weren't wearing gloves).
How many square body trucks did GM make anyway?

So perhaps you signed the front of the bed. “128”?

I guess from '73 to '87(or through '91 if we count the SUVs and crew cabs) that's not a million a year. But close....
Your knowledge and recollections are absolutely golden and tremendously informative! Have you considered writing a memoir or a history of the plants you worked in?

I've written a few numbers myself, but not that particular one.

(I spent a summer in St Louis building prototype front of dash assemblies and loading them into the production process. That took a lot of writing).

Thank you; I've done some writing but it is mostly on internet forums and in short form responses. I really don't have the time right now to collect and publish anything; plus - I'm still making history.
