I used Performance on Line about 8 years ago on a '64 Cutlass I had. I sold the project before finishing it though. IIRC they used BAW parts for steering components, so I can't vouch for longevity. I know the upper control arms I purchased for my tall spindle kit were a good quality.

Those first pictures I posted are the OEM overloads on my K30. I believe Hellwig makes some that clamp on.

At this point, it would have been easier to bag the truck front and rear, then to go through what you did with Summit.

Agreed. I finally cancelled my order because it still has they perpetual 2 month until it ships note on it. I’m currently in search of a set of 19.5” wheels and then I’ll use 3” lowering spindles. I’m still under the impression I’d like to drive the thing and not worry about the weather so I’m trying not to give up my inner fenders or have to cut my box sides.

Ditch the front inner fenders. You could easily make your own or fabricate some out of trailer fenders. Buy one fender, cut it in half....and now you have two!

Thanks we do our best to make sure that our customers get all the information we can provide. I actually found this thread doing some research on the C-20 C-30 chassis and you guys got me the info I needed. We just started selling shackles and hangers for the C20 C30s and I wanted to figure out why they were only listed for the C30 rather than the C20. I was unaware of the frame change on the 2 so the hanger does not cross.

I saw you guys were looking at some info ( and I know this thread is a year old ) on the 6/8 drop kits for the trucks so I figured I would share the information I have on them. These kits cross to both platforms and since the notch is more or less universal it works on both frames. The most important info you need before you buy the kit is what brakes are on the truck and what rear axle it has. So long as you know what th truck has we can help you find the right kit. We have both spindles available for the different configurations as well as the flip and are currently in the process of developing new products proprietary to us and designed by us. Let me know if we can help.

again I know this thread is a year old but if someone stumbles along this info looking for it like I did I figured it was worth sharing.... a little late. :893Chainsaw-Smilie-

It got to the point where Summit's customer service told me to start calling Western Chassis directly. The person I was live chatting yesterday told me that no one at Summit would ever tell a customer to do that. I believe my problem is more with Summit than WC but it took a long time to get a straight answer out of either company on what is going on. The guy at WC was very reluctant to say the stuff you buy directly from them is forged in China so I asked him directly and he confirmed. The problem is almost all the kits from WC use the same front spindle with a 2" drop and they make up the rest with a shorter coil spring. I do like that the rear drop is accomplished with new leaf springs and they seem to be the only company doing it that way. Everyone else wants a shackle or flip to accomplish the drop.
What are they doing with the rear springs??? I am looking to get another inch or so out of the rear of my dually
