I dont know how to ping or reference someones name on the forum, but user gmachinz does a lot of wiring harness work. If he sees this or you message him it might be something he has insight on.

I'd love to buy a good used one if these dont pan out. Gotta also find what connectors go with them (I imagine the makers of new ones will know or carry them).

I got a reply back from the supplier - all they had was supplemental part numbers (the originals are all discontinued / obsolete). I asked them for spec sheets - said they only had one at the moment and it WAS the firewall side connector. Now to get the engine side.

I found a place that carries alot of their other connectors (must be thousands of them) - going to see if they can order me 1-2 of each to make sure its the real deal......without ordering dozens I dont need for bigger $$$.

The connectors can be bought by the box. I forget the numbers, but those are definitely available.

Gotta admit to doing something similar. More than a few “WTF wire is this?” situations on my truck. So I also ran around that block more than once.

I’m sure I’ll regret it when I have to pull the cab off for painting / powdering the frame lol

Good luck finding new connector halves. After looking for a while, I gave up and bought an aftermarket harness. One of the benefits was larger gauge wires for just about every circuit.

I found them - from the supplier for Painless. There was a PN revision and I'm just waiting now for a spec sheet / illustration to make sure its the one.

Still hoping they are sourced someplace other than Asia.

Cuba didn't have the manpower China did or they probably would have. Globalists have no loyalties....just power trips and greed. I read in a WSJ 30 yrs ago - guy was with Nixon in '72. Was told back then that they would lure Western business under the guise of cheap labor and no regulations, then nationalize it and "send the yuppies home in their BMWs".

I'm not worried about it being contagious (or the whole hype narrative to begin with).....but ships full of Wal Mart / Harbor Freight specials are sitting in ports un-manned. Even some parts (through Jegs/Summit) are being listed as shipped from China no sooner than April.

yeah I don’t like splicing. So id re run them to where they go. And I’m a stickler about loom so I’d have to redo all that.

It sounds good in theory until, like you said, The Splice.

Will look. Its not a GM PN - was more like a manufacturers number. I gave up after finding out minimum order was like 500pcs and only one half of the pair is available. I just removed the connectors from my old ones and soaked them in gasoline - once you pick all the rubber cement goop out, they're like new.
